July 8, 2014 -
5:30pm to 6:45pm

Join Ms. Margaret Murray *92 as she discusses the ins and outs of a career in healthcare as well as explain what Medicaid is and how her organization works with it.

Ms. Margaret Murray *92 is the founding Chief Executive Officer for the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) and has led the organization since its inception in 2001, growing it to an Association of 57 Safety Net Health Plans covering nearly 10 million people on Medicaid and Medicare. The mission of ACAP is to represent and strengthen not-for-profit, safety net health plans as they work with providers and caregivers in their communities to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in a cost effective manner.

Murray is an expert in the field of healthcare policy for people of low-income levels and frequently speaks on these issues at national conferences as well as in the media. She has also published several articles on these issues and has been featured in major trade publications and newspapers. Prior to ACAP, Murray was the Medicaid Director for the State of New Jersey and oversaw the expansion of the FamilyCare program. Ms. Murray was featured in a 2010 issue of Managed Healthcare Executive. (See: http://bit.ly/1pHv1s3)
