Many graduate school programs require standardized test scores as part of your application. Be sure to review all requirements, and invest an appropriate amount of time in studying.
Common Graduate Admissions Tests
Graduate and professional programs have specific testing requirements. Be sure you understand which to take, and focus your studies accordingly. There are significant differences in how these tests are structured.
- GRE: This test is commonly required for admission into academic master’s and Ph.D. programs, as well as a number of business programs.
- GMAT: The GRE is used by more than 5,800 global business and management programs.
- LSAT: This law-school entrance exam is offered four times annually for admission into legal programs in the U.S. and abroad.
- MCAT: Almost all U.S. medical schools, as well as many in Canada and beyond, require MCAT scores.
