The Tiger Threads program is an education and clothing lending service to help undergraduates and graduate students gain access to quality clothing for interviews. The program is comprised of the three components:
The Closet clothes lending program
A series of Dress for Success workshops
A Pop-up Shop professional attire giveaway event to be held during the spring semester
Career Services has a limited supply of professional clothing that students can borrow for one-to-three days for interviews. Students can try on and borrow clothing by coming to Career Services during Closet walk-in hours Tues. 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Wed. noon to 4 p.m. during the academic year. If you are unable to make these times, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students will need to bring their prox, and should bring a neutral colored dress shirt or blouse with them when trying on clothes. Please note there is a limited supply of clothing.
Dress for Success Workshop Series
Career Services will conduct a series of programs each semester on appropriate dress for interviews, jobs/internships, Meetup events and other career needs, as well as how to find professional clothing on a budget. Some workshops include a shopping trip to a thrift store or other discount retailers. To learn about upcoming Dress for Success workshops, visit our event listings in Handshake.
On Feb. 14, students will be able to browse through a limited supply of lightly worn, high-quality professional clothes. During the event, students can keep a select number of clothing free of charge. More details are available here.
