de la Garza shares career insight during Chilling with Chai

Chilling with Chai is a new series of informal morning events organized by Career Services to bring together alumni with students for tea, coffee and candid conversations about different fields and career journeys.

The alum guest at the inaugural event was Javier de la Garza, a member of Princeton's Class of 1986 and the owner of de la Garza Architecture.

"Chilling with Chai was a great opportunity to meet with students and answer some of their questions about the career side of architecture and all its many aspects including construction, running your own business and what to do before and after graduate school," said Garza.

During the event, Garza answered student questions, reflected on his time at Princeton and gave a glimpse of what it's like working in the world of architecture.

In addition to talking about his own experience, Garza gave words of encouragement and provided useful tips for starting off in the field.

Don't forget to keep an eye on our program calendar, more Chilling with Chai events are on the way.
