Join us for a light lunch, coffee, tea and candid conversations with alumni about different fields and their career journeys. This month we'll be joined by Meredith W. Cook '96 and Andrew Bristow '12 who work in the biotechnology industry.
Meredith W. Cook '96, global M&A counsel, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.
Meredith is responsible for company and product acquisitions and divestitures, strategic joint ventures and collaborations and other strategic transactions across all geographies at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, a global pharmaceutical company. Dr. Reddy's specializes in generics, proprietary products, biologics and custom pharmaceuticals..
Previously, Meredith acted as counsel with Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, LLP, a global law firm. Prior to that, Meredith acted as counsel at Vinson & Elkins, LLP. While at Morgan Lewis, Meredith was resident in the Princeton and New York offices and represented clients in the life sciences industry as well as other industries, including manufacturing and energy.
Meredith concentrated in East Asian Studies. While at Princeton, she was a member of Cottage Club, Pi Beta Phi and played club soccer. After Princeton, Meredith received her J.D. from Tulane Law School, cum laude, and is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York and Texas (inactive).
Meredith lives on a farm in the village of Kingston with her husband, her two children, and her two dogs and two cats. In her free time, Meredith likes to read, grow vegetables and cook with her daughter, and practice pilates and meditation. She also spends a lot of time at Baker Rink watching Princeton hockey and her son's mite major games.
Andrew Bristow '12, industrial cyber security specialist, Johnson & Johnson
Andrew is currently responsible for assessing Johnson & Johnson's mission-critical lab, manufacturing, and warehouse locations for their adherence to security policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as for managing risk-mitigation plans to address any gaps identified. Previously, Andrew has held roles at Johnson & Johnson ranging from enterprise vulnerability management for public-facing web assets, to reliability engineering for IT systems that support the Johnson & Johnson global supply chain.
In addition to his core responsibilities at Johnson & Johnson, Andrew also plays a leadership role in an annual J&J Consumer, Inc. marketing campaign known as Care with Pride, acting as the primary liaison between J&J and three nonprofit organizations (The Trevor Project, Family Equality Council, and PFLAG).
Andrew graduated from Princeton in 2012 where he concentrated in Sociology, and pursued a certificate in Technology & Society. He and his partner now live in New York City.
