Class of 2017 Sendoff Celebration
Join us for hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a champagne toast celebrating the great Class of 2017, reflecting on your accomplishments and exploring the question of what constitutes a meaningful career.
The first 50 seniors who arrive will be eligible to win a brand new Apple TV that will be raffled off at the end of the event courtesy of Handshake. The winner must be present for the entirety of the event to qualify.
Genevieve Ryan '11 was selected by the Last Lectures committee as the keynote speaker and will offer advice and words of wisdom for graduating seniors.
Genevieve is the co-founder and CEO of Zinc (http://beta.zinclife.com), a company that provides college seniors with a customized game plan and tools to navigate the first six months after graduation. A lawyer by profession, she received her JD/MBA from Georgetown, and worked on strategic partnerships at Goldman Sachs until leaving to found Zinc.
Beyond her work in the entrepreneurial world, Genevieve is passionate about women’s empowerment, education, and national security, and had the chance to intern at both the White House and the U.S. Senate while she was in school.
While at Princeton, Genevieve majored in Politics-International Relations and focused primarily on issues of national security, writing both her Junior Papers and her Thesis on counter-terrorism in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Genevieve served as Vice President of the University Cottage Club, was a proud member of Forbes College, a founding member of the Princeton chapter of Circle of Women, and served as Co-President of Princeton Against Cancer Together. She received the Spirit of Princeton Award her senior year.
