A Talk with Ms. Pam Barr *86, Director of the Technology Innovation and Field Services Division at the EPA
Join Ms. Pamela Barr *86 as she discusses insights from her time working for the government, including advice and lessons she has learned along the way.
Ms. Pam Barr (WWS *86) has worked in different subject areas, industries and in both management and staff positions in her career. She has spent the last 12 years at the EPA as a senior manager in 3 different EPA offices. Her other work experiences include jobs at the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Federal Reserve Bank, the World Bank, and a small non-profit. She is worked in subject areas within and outside of her areas of academic training. In her current position as Director of the Technology Innovation and Field Services Division at US EPA, she leads 75 highly technical people in 5 locations who provide technical support to hazardous waste cleanup sites. Barr plans to share with you insights from these experiences, most of which should apply to other fields besides government; advice she has received throughout her career that has been helpful; and lessons she learned the hard way.
