Evangeline Kubu

Evangeline “Eva” Kubu has more than 20 years of diversified experience in higher education administration and career services. Eva provides strategic vision and leadership in overseeing the execution of the career center's mission and ensuring a transformative career center experience for all students and alumni. Eva develops strategies to support organizational change and innovation while leading a cross-functional management team responsible for career advising, career education, employer relations/outreach, alumni engagement, technology, assessment, finance, and communications. 

Passionate about developing new and creative approaches to engage, educate and empower students, Eva was an early adopter and evangelist of social media use in higher education. She has conducted three nationwide studies on social media best practices in the career services field and speaks nationally and internationally about leveraging social platforms for constituent engagement, community building, professional branding and to connect students, alumni, and employers. She has received national and international recognition for founding Princeton Social Media Day (#PUSocialDay), an innovative, campus-wide professional development conference for students, faculty, staff and alumni to share best practices and learn about social media trends, tools and tactics. She also regularly teaches LinkedIn courses for students and alumni.

Eva has earned multiple awards for innovation throughout her career including Princeton University's Donald Griffin Management Award, the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ Innovation Excellence Award, the Metropolitan New York Career Placement Officers’ Association Award for Innovative Career Center Programming, the DeVry University Innovative and Creative Teaching Award, and the DeVry President's Award.  

Prior to joining Princeton University, Eva managed marketing and communications for the three regional career centers of Rutgers University. She was also managing partner in an executive coaching and career transition practice, working with professionals and organizations to achieve their leadership development goals. Earlier in her career, she was an associate director of graduate placement and taught career development courses at DeVry University. 

Eva serves on the Board of Directors of Dress for Success Central New Jersey. She is an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) where she serves as a faculty member for the association's Management Leadership Institute (teaching an Innovation in Marketing course beginning in 2018) and on the Leadership Advancement Program committee. She is also a member of the National Association of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), the Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the American Association of University Women (AAUW).

She is also actively involved in or has served on several University committees including the: Talent Brand Advisory Group, Campus Life Diversity & Inclusion Committee, University Social Media Steering Committee, and Princeton Campus Communicators Network.

Eva holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Rutgers University, a specialized MBA certificate in social media marketing from Rutgers Business School, and a Master of Science in higher education administration from Drexel University.

As a first-generation college graduate, Eva is committed to providing all students with support to ensure equitable access to meaningful opportunities.
